Muddy Bliss
For my husband's birthday we hit the pits...
the mud pits.
We partied on the next day with
good food...
good music...
and good company.
The day ended with the sweetest birthday kiss ever.

The Helmet
For the past month or so my toddler has been obsessed with hats and helmets. From construction hard hats to mixing bowls; he has worn them all.
Reluctantly, my husband and I purchased a new edition to his head ware collection during our most recent shopping excursion.
Not being able to contain himself until it was paid for, he had to wear it immediately. So we finished our shopping trip with gawks and stares from most of the passers by.
It wasn't until we hit the parking lot that we realized the reactions were at us, not him.
It was evident that we appeared to be extremely overprotective parents that forced their unsuspecting child to wear safety gear while riding in a shopping cart.
Exhausted from embarrassing us, the ride home put him sound to sleep and with his bulky head piece (that could not be removed) he safely napped the evening away.

Farm Living is the Life for Me
The sites and sounds that living on a farm provide are truly breathtaking.
It really is a small piece of heaven and I couldn’t imagine raising my son anywhere else.
Each day brings a new scene and adventure that is locked safely away in our vault of precious moments.
The ripening of pears…
and Muscadines…
brought forth a new taste, texture, and memory for my growing little boy.
Side by side we filled our buckets with the delicious goodness of the fresh fruit.
There’s nothing better than a snack straight from the vine
followed by a little front porch sittin’.

From the Kitchen to the Garage
Whether it’s making salsa…
or repairing a four-wheeler…
my boys can do it all!
